StarTech NLWH Series Ethernet Cable, 2M Cable Length, white - NLWH-2M-CAT8-PATCH

This ethernet cable provides high-speed screened connectivity for modern enterprise and dense networking environments. Designed for 25/40 Gbps links, the screened lead combines a low-smoke zero-halogen jacket with solid conductor pairs to support demanding data and powered installations while routing easily in confined or poorly ventilated spaces.

Features and Benefits:

• 2000MHz bandwidth enabling greater throughput and reduced latency
• S/FTP screening reduces electromagnetic interference for stable links
• 26 AWG solid copper lowers resistance to improve signal transmission
• Gold-plated connectors rated beyond 750 insertions extend connector life
• LSZH jacket emits reduced toxic fumes during combustion for safety

Applications

• Suitable for 40GBASE-T switch interconnects in data centres
• Used with PoE++ devices delivering up to 100W power
• Ideal for copper SFP modules and 25 Gbps NIC connections
• Can be used for NAS and SAN short-run high-speed links
• Used for high-density patching in enterprise rack environments

What conductor and screening construction does it use?

It uses 26 AWG solid Pure bare copper conductors with individual aluminium-mylar foil and an overall braided shield forming an S/FTP structure.

Which temperatures are acceptable for operation and storage?

The cable operates between 0°C and 50°C and can be stored between -20°C and 60°C with 0%-85% relative humidity limits.

How is performance verified for Cat8 specifications?

Each cable is individually tested with a Fluke DSX2-8000 analyser and is ETL verified to meet ANSI/TIA-568.2-D limits.

What physical attributes affect routing in confined spaces?

The flexible LSZH jacket tolerates ±90-degree bends and the cable has an outside diameter of 5.6mm.

Which standards and power protocols does it support?

It complies with TIA/EIA-T568B and IEEE 802.3ba 40GBASE-T standards and supports PoE++ up to 100W.
