StarTech NLWH Series Ethernet Cable, Cat8 LAN Category, 1m Cable Length - NLWH-1M-CAT8-PATCH

This screened Cat8 S/FTP Ethernet cable provides high-speed network links and PoE++ delivery for professional environments. It is intended for short-run connections between 25G/40G switches, NAS or SFP modules where electromagnetic interference mitigation and low-toxicity jacketing are required. The white LSZH outer sheath and solid copper conductors support installations in confined or poorly ventilated spaces while maintaining industry cabling standards.

Features and Benefits:

• 2000MHz frequency boosts throughput for high-capacity links
• 26AWG Pure bare copper reduces insertion loss and resistance
• S/FTP construction limits EMI for stable signal transmission
• Gold-plated RJ45 connectors rated beyond 750 insertions
• LSZH jacket emits low toxic fumes in fire scenarios

Applications

• Suitable for connecting 40GBASE-T hardware in racks
• Ideal for powering PoE++ devices up to 100W
• Used with copper SFP modules and 25GbE switches
• Can be used for SAN and NAS high-bandwidth links
• Suitable for enclosed environments such as trains and aircraft

What temperature range can the cable operate within?

It operates between 0°C and 50°C for normal use and can be stored between -20°C and 60°C.

How is each cable validated for Cat8 performance?

Individual testing is performed with a Fluke DSX2-8000 CableAnalyser to verify insertion loss, return loss and crosstalk.

What shielding materials are used to protect the pairs?

Each twisted pair uses aluminium‑mylar foil and an overall tinned copper braid for screening.

Which wiring standard does the cable support for termination?

It is compatible with TIA/EIA‑T568B pinouts for structured cabling.
