StarTech NLWH Series Ethernet Cable, 12m Cable Length, White - NLWH-12M-CAT8-PATCH

This ethernet cable provides high-speed screened connectivity for enterprise and dense networking environments. It supports 25/40Gbps links and 40GBASE-T hardware while delivering data and power over PoE++ in confined or poorly ventilated spaces. The cable combines solid copper conductors with an LSZH jacket and full pair shielding to maintain signal integrity where electromagnetic interference is present.

Features and Benefits:

• 2000MHz frequency for significantly increased throughput
• S/FTP construction reduces electromagnetic interference effects
• 26AWG Pure bare copper for lower resistance transmission
• 100W PoE++ support supplies power to connected devices
• Individually Fluke-tested to verify Cat8 performance

Applications

• Suitable for high-density 25/40GBASE-T switch connections
• Used with copper SFP modules and NICs in racks
• Ideal for powering PoE++ access points and cameras
• Can be used in enclosed transport or industrial areas
• Used in data centres needing screened patching solutions

What conductor type is used and how does it affect performance?

It uses solid 26AWG Pure bare copper conductors which provide consistent conductivity and reduced signal loss across installations.

How is the cable protected against external interference?

Each twisted pair is wrapped in aluminium-mylar foil with an overall braided shield delivering S/FTP screening for enhanced EMI resistance.

What operational temperatures can the cable tolerate?

It operates between 0°C and 50°C and can be stored between -20°C and 60°C.

How does the jacket material influence safety in enclosed spaces?

The Low Smoke Zero Halogen jacket emits reduced smoke and toxic fumes when exposed to heat, improving safety in poorly ventilated environments.

What connector durability and testing standards exist for the product?

Connectors feature 50μ gold plating rated beyond 750 mating cycles and each cable is tested with a Fluke DSX2-8000 to confirm compliance with ANSI/TIA-568.2-D.
