SICK I150 Series Rope Pull Switch, 203mm Length, Metal Housing - I150-RP224 / 1064511

This rope pull switch provides a manually operated safety cut-off for industrial lines and conveyor systems, designed for single-direction actuation and remote rope routing up to 75m. It features positive-action normally-closed contacts and a slow-action switching element suited to low-voltage safety circuits. The unit is housed in varnished die-cast lightweight metal and rated for protected use in dust- and water-prone environments.

Features and Benefits:

• 2NC contacts providing positive-action safety switching
• 2A current rating enabling low-voltage control circuits
• IP65 enclosure protecting against dust and water ingress
• Mechanical life 1e6 cycles supporting extended service intervals
• Operating range -25 to 80°C allowing wide ambient deployment

Applications

• Suitable for conveyor emergency-stop rope installations
• Ideal for long-run rope systems up to 75m
• Used with safety logic units requiring slow-action switching
• Can be used at sites requiring cULus and UKCA certification
• Used for safeguarding accessways in manufacturing plants

How is fault detection handled in this device?

It contains no internal fault detection, so connected safety logic must monitor faults.

What electrical connection does it use?

It connects via an M12 4-pin plug connector with a nickel-plated brass coupling nut.

What are the switching voltage and minimum switching current?

The switching threshold is ≥5V DC and the switching current specified is 5mA at 5V DC.

What short-circuit protection is required?

Short-circuit protection rated at 2A is specified for the switching circuit.

What mechanical actuation characteristics affect installation?

Actuation force is 125N at 300mm deflection and actuation frequency is ≤3,600 operations per hour.
