Make finishing metalwork easier with this sanding disc from 3M. It uses hard ceramic minerals for quick and effective sanding. These grains are precisely formed with sharp peaks to reduce the effort needed to cut through strong materials. As a closed-coat abrasive, it's suitable for use on carbon and stainless steel as well as aluminium. The medium-grade disc has a coarse grit size of P60 for swift weld removal, deburring and edge chamfering tasks.

Using the 3M™ 782C outperforms conventional ceramic discs. Designed to be used with a 3M™ backing pad with an angle grinder or sander. This fibre wheel is well-suited for edge chamfering bevelling, deburring and weld removal on mostly carbon steel.

Coarse-grade and medium-grade discs work well for surface preparation tasks but can leave marks. To get the best results, work in the direction of the grains and use a fine-grade grit afterwards for a defect-free, smooth finish.

Using 3M™ precision-shaped grain technology to offer a higher initial and durability to outlast conventional ceramic fibre discs. The grit wears evenly and with the abrasive staying cooler and sharper, the PSG abrasive lasts significantly longer than conventional ceramic discs. These discs will help to step up production with an improved output on both light and heavy stock removal.

The 3M™ 782C heavy-duty fibre discs are great for weld removals, grinding and blending large and small metal areas. This could occur in industries such as farm and construction, automotive, ship and boat building, metal fabrication.

The 782C disc is for use on carbon steel, the 787C is used for stainless steel and other non-ferrous alloys such as aluminium and titanium (Sold at RS).

These abrasive discs are designed for use on metals, and are not recommended to be used on wood.

When grinding metal or sanding, appropriate personal protection equipment should be worn. Gloves, eye protection and even respiratory protection are essential PPE for general purpose grinding and polishing applications.
