Infineon ESD108-B1-CSP201 Series ESD Protection Diode, 5.5V Maximum Reverse Stand‑off Voltage, 20V Clamping Voltage - ESD108B1CSP0201XTSA1

This ESD protection diode provides bidirectional surge suppression for PCB‑mounted applications. It is intended to protect sensitive circuits from electrostatic discharge and fast transients while operating across a wide temperature range. The component is supplied in a Compact WLL‑2‑1 package and is designed for direct PCB mounting where low leakage and defined clamping behaviour are required.

Features and Benefits:

• Bi‑directional configuration protects circuits from bipolar transients
• 0.1 nA maximum reverse leakage preserves high‑impedance nodes
• 2.5A Peak Pulse current handles short‑duration surge events
• 20V clamping voltage limits voltage seen by protected devices
• 1800W Peak Pulse power reduces energy delivered to downstream parts

Applications

• Suitable for protecting I/O lines in consumer electronics
• Ideal for safeguarding sensitive sensors and ADC inputs
• Used with communication ports subject to ESD strikes
• Can be used for transient protection on power rails up to 5.5V
• Useful in industrial control PCBs exposed to electrostatic events

What ambient temperature range can it reliably operate within?

It operates from -55°C up to 125°C, providing wide thermal tolerance.

How does the component behave under repetitive surge conditions?

It can absorb pulses with Peak power up to 1800W and Peak current up to 2.5A for short‑duration events.

What standards coverage applies to its ESD and surge performance?

It meets IEC 61000‑4‑2, IEC 61000‑4‑4 and IEC 61000‑4‑5 specifications.

What is the maximum continuous reverse voltage it withstands without conduction?

The maximum reverse stand‑off voltage is 5.5V, preventing conduction below that threshold.
