This SPDT (single pole double throw) time delay relay from the RS PRO range is an electromagnetic component that's used to control the power flow in circuits at timed intervals.

Control relays play a vital role in today’s electronics, opening and closing circuits whenever voltage is applied or removed. Timer relays have the added benefit of pre-selected time intervals, which is useful for things like lighting circuits and safety control for large equipment.

This multi-function relay has a comprehensive range of timing functions and counts in hours, minutes and seconds. It uses a voltage input, which initiates the unit whenever a trigger signal is applied. Adjusting the time-delay is a simple as turning a knob.
