Lapp ÖLFLEX CLASSIC FD Series Control Cable, 100m Length, 4000V Voltage - 0026131

This control cable is designed to carry control and power signals within industrial installations where flexibility and heat tolerance are required. It consists of three stranded bare copper conductors insulated and assembled within a grey PVC sheath, intended for use across standard wiring tasks in machinery, panels and fixed installations. The cable is unscreened and supplied on a 100m reel for site deployment.

Features and Benefits:

• Rated for 4000V providing high-voltage handling capability
• Operates from -40°C to +80°C for wide temperature resilience
• Flame-retardant PVC sheath reduces fire propagation risk
• Stranded 18 AWG conductors deliver enhanced flexing performance
• Three cores permit multi-circuit control and power distribution
• Outside diameter 6.6mm enables compact routing in conduits

Applications

• Suitable for industrial control panels and machine wiring
• Ideal for flexible connection in automated equipment
• Used with distribution blocks in factory installations
• Can be used for signal and small power circuits in cabinets
• Suitable for fixed routing inside conduits and trunking

How is the cable constructed to aid flexibility during installation?

Each conductor is made from multiple copper strands which increases bendability compared with solid conductors, easing routing through conduits and around cable carriers.

What safety behaviour does the outer material provide in confined spaces?

The sheath is formulated from polyvinyl chloride with flame-retardant properties, which slows flame spread and reduces contribution to fire growth in enclosed installations.

Can the cable be used where screening is required?

No, this product is unscreened, so it is not suitable where electromagnetic screening is mandated

use it where screening is not a requirement.

What conductor cross-sectional detail affects current capacity and connection methods?

Each core has a 1 mm² cross-sectional area allowing termination with suitably rated lugs or ferrules compatible with stranded conductors.
