The black numbered power terminal block is removable. Two separate sets of power supply inputs terminals are provided, one to +VA and -V and the other to +VB and -V. This provides redundancy; the second power supply automatically takes over in the event of a failure of the first one. If only one power supply is connected then the negative must be connected to one of the -V pairs. The positive can be connected to either the +VA or +VB pins. Power LED will light green when correctly connected.

FAQs
What is the difference between managed and unmanaged switches.
Unmanaged switches let you immediately plug and play devises into your network and cannot be modified or managed. They are usually used in home networks and small businesses.
Managed switches allow for greater control and are deal for larger businesses and organisations with a large and growing network.
How many ports do I need on my switch?
Switches can have a different number of port configurations. To help choose the right number of ports you should consider the number of users your network supports. In general, the bigger your business and organisation is, the more ports you will require. This RS PRO Ethernet Switch has 8 ports.
