Eaton MCB, C Curve, 10kA Breaking Capacity - xEffect Series - 278561 FAZ-C16/1

Put reliable protection in place for your equipment with this MCB from Eaton. It's fitted with a current-limiting feature that interrupts the circuit rapidly in the event of a short circuit, reducing the let-through electrical energy and overload currents that can damage equipment. The breaker can't be overridden by holding the handle in the ON position, providing an extra level of security. You can easily install this MCB on a DIN rail to build a compact and organised system.

Features & Benefits

• Dimensions of 80 (length) x 17.5 (width) x 74mm (depth) saves space in your cabinet

• Front switch toggle provides a clear indication of contact position

• 230V AC rated voltage makes it suitable for use with UK mains supply

What's the difference between an MCB and a fuse?

Both an MCB and a fuse are designed to interrupt a circuit to protect personnel and equipment in the event of an overcurrent. While fuses are sacrificial elements that are destroyed when they blow, MCBs can be reset and reused. They can also be switched on and off to provide convenient isolation of a circuit.
