Incorporated within this enclosure are a set of DIN-Rails, making it perfect for sensitive electrical equipment. Although not 100% necessary, the interior of this box itself is designed for the installation of DIN-Rail terminals, so electrical wiring would be fully protected from the elements if situated in an outdoor environment.

The IP rating refers to the level of protection that is provided, with lower numbers offering minimal protection and higher numbers offering maximum protection. The first digit refers to the level of protection from solids such as dust and debris, whereas the second digit refers to liquid.
