Pressmaster CRIMPEX COMFORT II Hand Crimp Tool
KSA 0760 CRIMPEX COMFORT II is a crimp tool for insulated terminals/connectors with a cable range of 0.75 to 6.0 mm2/AWG 22 to 10. Also known as Red, Blue and Yellow terminals. See stock numbers 534-238, 534-597, 534-468 typically. The crimp operation is effortless, take the striped wire and add the terminal of your choice and crimp a symmetrical oval crimp.
The KSA 0760 CRIMPEX COMFORT II requires reduced hand force compared to competitors due to the unique mechanism. The tool allows for both single and two handed operation. The Non-Slip pad offers support by holding the tool in place when used on a work surface. The built-in ratchet mechanism ensures jaws fully close to complete the crimp before the finished termination can be released. The eccentric adjustment enables calibration and can thus ensure consistent performance. The KSA 0760 tool is tested to perform a minimum of 50000 cycles. If, miscrimps or obstructions occur simply use the ratchet release function. In addition, the KSA 0760 CRIMPEX COMFORT II allows attachment of a safety strap.

What is the difference between un-insulated and insulated crimp tools?
Un-insulated crimp tools are typically used for general applications, whereas the insulated crimp tools have been VDE tested up to 1000 V, designed for use where electrical current is present.
The Importance of a High-Quality Crimp
When a crimping tool is used on a terminal, two crimps take place at the same time. One is the electrical connection between the conductor and terminal. The other is the insulation crimp which provides strain relief against vibration and tension. It is important that the electrical connection is gas-tight without any voids between the wire strands and the terminal. If there any voids present, then corrosion can occur causing resistance and excessive heat which damages the electrical connection. Using a good quality crimping tool will ensure that a full, gas-tight crimp is produced preventing future deterioration of the electrical connection and insulation breakage.
