RS PRO Stainless Steel Female Multiple-Lobed Knobs
Knobs are used in a wide variety of applications in our day-to-day lives and perform many functions, from being used as fixed handles to being used to tighten, loosen, adjust, clamp and push other components or pieces of equipment. They are used in various applications, from industrial and construction machinery to audio and visual equipment.
Multiple-lobed handwheels, also known as scallop-shaped handwheels, provide user comfort through their ergonomic design, with a varying number of lobes depending on the grip and pressure required. Handwheel knobs are fitted with either a protruding screw (male), a threaded insert (female) or through threads depending on the requirements of the application.
These female knobs are made from stainless steel to ensure that the threads last throughout wear and tear and general use. The corrosion-resistance of stainless steel also allows these knobs to be used in hygiene-focussed environments, such as medical applications, food preparation applications and dental applications.
