It combines a waterproof design with integral 1 and 2-minute timers and a wide temperature range of -200°C to 1372°C. The handheld thermometer offers a compact, all in one solution for the management of legionella in a wide variety of environments when paired with the RS PRO Dual Purpose Probe for surface and immersion temperature measurement.

What is Legionnaires’ disease?
Legionnaires’ disease is a potentially fatal form of pneumonia. The cause of the disease is a bacterium called Legionella pneumophila and can be caught by inhaling small droplets of water suspended in the air which contain the legionella bacterium which is mainly found in: stagnant water e.g. in ponds and rivers or in buildings containing cooling towers, evaporation condensers, air conditioning and industrial cooling systems, humidifiers, spa baths and hot and cold-water systems.
