SIRIUS 3RK3 Modular Safety System - Basic Central Unit


The SIRIUS 3RK3 modular safety system (MSS) is a freely parameterizable modular safety relay. Safety oriented applications up to Category 4 according to EN 954-1, Performance Level e according to ISO 13849-1 or SIL3 according to IEC 62061 can be reached depending on the external circuit version. The modular safety relay enables the interconnection of several safety applications. The comprehensive error and status diagnostics provides the possibility of finding errors in the system and localizing signals from sensors. Plant downtimes can be reduced as the result.

3RK3 Basic Central Unit


The SIRIUS 3RK3 basic central unit is used wherever more than three safety functions have to be analyzed and where parameterizing the wiring of safety relays would be time consuming and expensive to implement. This safety relay reads inputs and controls outputs and communicates with higher level controllers via an interface module. The entire safety program of an application is processed in the central unit. At the smallest configuration level, the 3RK3 Basic central unit is already functional without the expansion modules that can be connected as options.
