SDP8436-003 Honeywell, 18 ° Phototransistor, Through Hole 2-Pin Side Looker package

Honeywell's SDP8436 series are a group of NPN silicon phototransistors. They are in side looking (SL) through-hole packages. The SDP8436 have a black rectangular package with a side looking domed lens. It combines the advantages of a side looking pakcage with a narrow acceptance angle and high optical gain of a 3mm (T-1) package.
The SDP8436 is designed for applications which require longer coupling distances to standard side looking devices. They also have a lower level of adjacent channel crosstalk. The SDP8436 also has a daylight filter which shields it from visible ambient light. Touch screens are ideal applications for the SDP8436.
