The ifm electronic speed sensor operates at a voltage range of 7 to 30 V DC with a current consumption below 30 mA. It has a protection class III rating and does not include reverse polarity protection. The output is designed as NPN, with a permanent current rating of 50 mA for the switching output. The sensor supports a switching frequency from 1 Hz up to 15,000 Hz.
