Cable gland locknuts are small, hexagonal devices, used for securing into position all types of cable grommetsand cable glands(devices designed to attach and secure the end of an electrical cable to other equipment).
Cable gland locknut applications and features
Cable gland locknuts are used in a number of industries that use cable and wiring used in electrical instrumentation and automation systems. Cable gland locknuts may be used on all types of electrical power, control, instrumentation, data and telecommunications cables.
Types of cable gland locknuts
Cable glands consist of three parts (two gland halves and a split sealing grommet) which are screwed together with the hexagonal cable gland locknut. Choose from a range of sizes and materials including:
Brass – recommended in securing brass cable glands and accessories to a gland plate or into equipment.
Stainless steel – corrosion resistant with increased strength at high temperatures.
Fibreglass – for use with standard plastic round top thread cable glands.
