These panel mount resistors are designed for direct heatsink mounting with thermal compound, which ensures maximum performance.

At high ambient temperature dissipation derates linearly to zero at +200 °C

To achieve the given maximum performance rating of this power resistor, it is designed to be directly mounted on an appropriately matched heatsink and mounted using a thermal compound.
