Lower strength threadlocking grade for fasteners requiring subsequent adjustment
Distinctive purple colour to aid identification
Thixotropic to prevent migration from the point of application
Lubricates threads during assembly
Easy to remove components
Ideal for non-ferrous components e.g. brass and aluminium
Testing should be carried out prior to contact with styrene, acrylic and polycarbonate based plastics to ensure compatibility.
The Loctite 50ml purple thread lock is designed for locking and sealing of threaded fasteners, which requires easy disassembly with standard hand tools. This product cures when confined in the absence of air between close-fitting metal surfaces and prevents loosening and leakage from shock and vibration. It is particularly suitable for applications such as adjustment of setscrews, small diameter or long engagement length fasteners, where easy disassembly is required without damaging the screw. The thixotropic nature of Loctite 222 reduces the migration of liquid product after application to the substrate.
