Productivity-boosting Thermaltronics soldering systems join high-quality tools portfolio at RS Components

Complete range now in stock, featuring superior heating-power control for delicate or thermally demanding tasks

Hong Kong, 2 July 2015:

RS Components (RS), the trading brand of Electrocomponents plc (LSE:ECM), the global distributor for engineers, is the new source for Thermaltronics soldering systems, which use Curie Heat Technology (CHT) to ensure perfect soldering with consistent speed for improved productivity.

CHT delivers exactly the right amount of heating power for the thermal capacity of each joint by taking advantage of the Curie temperature of the engineered magnetic material in the heater core. Inductive heating stops as the Curie temperature is reached and resumes depending on the thermal draw of the joint to be soldered, effectively ensuring smoothly modulated heating power.

Unlike conventional temperature-controlled equipment, Thermaltronics soldering systems have no temperature sensor and therefore no lag. Power modulation ensures the tip temperature remains closer to its desired set point. In addition there is no need for calibration, and extended tip life also helps lower cost of ownership. The systems are competitively priced for professional or personal use.

RS is stocking the full Thermaltronics range, including soldering stations, colour-coded tip cartridges in a versatile range of sizes and profiles, and desoldering and tweezer kits. The TMT-9000S and TMT-5000S soldering stations utilise CHT at 13.56MHz for high thermal recovery and performance. The TMT-9000S has dual switchable soldering ports that help to boost productivity. The TMT-2000S is a 470kHz unit that offers an economical entry point to superior soldering with CHT. All units can operate from a line voltage of 100-240V AC.
