Fluid Control Systems

We have a comprehensive range of fluid control products including flow and level controllers, sensors, switches and indicators. We work with top brands such as SMC, Burkert and Cynergy3 to deliver a complete range of fluid control products to cater for any industrial or automation requirement. Below we have covered the main types of fluid control systems we carry:
  • Flow Controllers – A device which is used to measure and control the flow of liquids or gasses. It uses a mass flow sensor to detect gas or fluid flow and then adjusts the proportional valve to achieve the correct flow, based on the operator or signal input.
  • Chemical Monitorin– Is a way of monitoring and maintaining the quality of a fluid in a container. It is a type of fluid of monitoring that focuses on monitoring the pH levels of a fluid. There are two main types chemical monitoring; Sensors or probes to monitor and detect the appropriate chemicals in a fluid. Alternatively you can use a buffer solution to keep the chemicals or fluid at a given pH level.
  • Flow Sensors – Are a type of sensor which is used to measure the instant flow rate of a gas or liquid passing through a pipeline. Sensors are available in different types from turbine which sits in the flow of liquid / glass and measures the total flow rate or consumption, electromagnetic which has no moving parts is volumetric and has no moving parts to thermal which uses the thermal properties of the gas or liquid to determine flow.
  • Flow Switches – Detects the flow of a liquid or a gas and then sends a trip signal to a separate device such as a pump to turn it off or on.
  • Level Controllers – Measure the level of a fluid in a contained area. They are automated units which are prevent liquid levels becoming excessively high or low.
  • Level sensors – Determine how full or empty a container is. The provide control signals to valves in order to tell them whether to open or close. The choice of senor is dictated by the substance being measured.
  • Level Switches – There are five types of switch:
  1. Float switch - The movement of the float will cause the switch to operate
  2. Capacitive switch – Non contact capacitive switch that uses a sensing field to determine fill level.
  3. Vibrating probe - When the vibrating probe comes into contact with the medium and the frequency changes the switch is activated.
  4. Conductive float switch – Uses stainless steel probes to measure specific liquid levels
  5. Ultrasonic sensor – Emits ultrasonic pulses which are reflected across the medium surface which are used to calculate fill levels.
